Here is an excerpt education strategy Abilene Christian University - the university, which relies on m-learning. Recently, the American College Abilene Christian University reported that, together with the publishing house Cambridge University Press, and research laboratories belonging to Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent company, has started a research project focused on the development and publication of the needs of students of educational resources collected through mobile devices. Partners in this way want to use in the teaching of the enormous potential of mobile devices, allowing students to a dynamic, individualized learning at any time and place. The university authorities are aware of the changes taking place in society under the influence of ubiquitous technology, and that it has a particular impact on the lives of young people. Hence the brave decision to modernize the teaching process at the university. “We are the future of learning, because we know that our students will live and work in a world that does not yet exist in a world where the challenges and opportunities are just beginning to take shape.” - says the mission of the university. The key to modern education is not only the technology, but communication. Nor is the control of the learning process, but convergence. Studies provide convincing arguments for the fact that people learn best in a group, community, when they are with each other in different ways connected. Community creates and strengthens when people work together, studying together and form a group. Therefore, any technological solution proposed school must take into account communication and convergence. If this is not done, it becomes pedagogically useless - think the university. The advent of converged mobile technologies hidden in such popular tools as smartphones (especially iPhone, BlackBerry, Samsung and Nokia), multimedia players (especially the iPod Touch) and rapid entry into the market of modern tablets (eg. IPad) prompted the university to analyze the opportunities It gives a reading, writing and publishing of digital learning resources through these devices. The aim of the newly established consortium, among others, to develop software that will allow the teaching of utilizing the potential of the available market information and communication technologies. They have created multimedia resources in excess ogranczenia traditional academic textbooks. With nieszablonowemu access to information, tools will enable the personalization of the learning process and adapting educational materials to individual needs, which is to increase the effectiveness of learning. University consortium built around shared tasks: Bell Labs will be responsible for research and prototypes of new teaching tools from the technology. Cambridge University Press will provide content and develop specific service requirements. In turn, Abilene Christian University will evaluate user requirements, conduct experiments and analyze and select the best practices for building a mobile learning process based on user behavior in the university campus. In this year’s European Consumer Day is celebrated in the European Union on 16 March. During the events organized in the Member States discussion will take place in the new trends in consumption, in particular the growing number of transactions on the internet and buying digital content. Educational Portal ConsumerClassroom.eu invites therefore schoolchildren to take part in an interesting contest. Every year, the Consumer portal Classroom invites students from secondary schools in the EU countries to participate in a pan interschool competition. This year the theme of the competition is the consumption of digital content. Digital content today pervade all areas of life. The students have easy access to free and paid products online, especially music, movies, books, and electronic games. The problem of safety in the use and purchase of digital content covers a variety of topics, such as the protection of personal data, the effects of legal and illegal use of the content, the vulnerability of young consumers in the network to threats. If you have an idea for an interesting project and would like to implement it with a school in another EU country (necessary condition), this contest may be for you the beginning of a good and creative cooperation. Deadline for submission of projects for the competition is 24 April 2015. Participants of Polish and class partner from another EU country must determine which aspects of digital content will be studied. Just upload a lesson interactive website, movie or scene, which also include young people from class partner, and relate to the theme of “young people enjoying digital content.” This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate their creativity. Each entry must include: a list of project participants (teachers and students), a brief description of the project (in English), a brief description of the cooperation project and the tools used (in English), interactive element illustrating the key message of the project, eg .: movie (s), multimedia lesson, a brief summary of activities to promote the project (eg. via social media, contacts with local media or promotional activities in schools). The contest will take place on 29 May 2015. The main prize in the competition is a trip to Brussels for the project team, combined with sightseeing and a visit to the main institutions of the European Union. The winning design will be placed on the website of the Consumer Classroom. More information about the contest on the ConsumerClassroom.eu (in Polish). To report a job board, the teacher should register your account on the portal. *** Consumer Classroom is created by the European Commission, the social networking site for teachers from across the EU, containing high-quality educational resources and interactive tools to enable young people aged 12-18 years to acquire practical skills needed in the life of the consumer. The website is funded by the EU and aims to stimulate the development of consumer education in secondary schools and the development of appropriate consumer attitudes of young people. Send (); }); / ** / For many weeks it takes place in various forums and in the media a broad discussion on the fate of Polish teachers and the school. It seems to me that the last people realized that the teachers in Poland, despite the various “bonuses” but did not have so good at his job … Although, of course, no shortage and critical voices (much merit in this political propaganda, but also the teachers are different, so get up and “black” sheep), it seems that social sympathy is with the teachers. Not worth simplify, that’s just about the strike. We have to do - probably the first time in two decades - the consolidation of environmental teachers, but also parents, local government officials and students. More and more people understand that we need to begin to think differently about the Polish education. And you have to really enjoy this. Therefore, let’s not talk only about the strike, because it’s just the name of one of the forms of protest. Let’s not talk about it but that’s about money. Anyone who will be a little longer and more frequent contact with teachers working in public institutions, rather confirm without hesitation that it is not just that. Working conditions in schools over the last 20 years definitely deteriorated. And this will not change the fact that officials and politicians praise to the left and the right as “reforming” and “modernize” the Polish school. Education, stupid! “The economy, stupid!” - the slogan used the once Bill Clinton in his presidential campaign in the United States. Looking at how hard successive governments and politicians in Poland comes directing the education system (and how they contribute to the collapse of education), it seems to me that it was high time for a new password, but managed just to the rulers and officials: “Education, Stupid “. Teachers, the professional group, which, as I remember (and I’m from a family of teachers) always had the “uphill”. I do not remember a time when I enjoyed the high esteem in society. A large merit including politicians of all sorts, who for years did what they had seen on the example of the ruling political party today, “they played” teachers. Once szczuli them against parents, parents against teachers once, each time taking care to throw in some bureaucratic nuisance and requirements and not to pay too much. And also to submit the not too much at school (because many activities “administrative” be passed on to teachers, “only to spend several hours a week at the board” …). This is a paradox. At this stage of development of human civilization, which just from education (both general and continuing throughout life) depends on the dynamic development of economy and society, we still can not come up with a formula of modern Polish school preparing for life in a rapidly changing world. Deforms the system, which for several years had already started to consolidate and bear fruit, which also had a lot of potential for further development and modernization.
